About
Alliant, LLC. is a for profit association, centered around small to medium sized businesses. The intention of Alliant is to create a Network, of individuals and businesses, that have one primary thing in common. They understand and support local business owners and those that work for and with them. Alliant is not an association, that is specific to any one industry or even type of business. Unlike other associations that have a business focus, Allaint is not ONLY for those who own and maybe work in businesses, but instead Alliant is also for the customer.
That’s right. If you believe in and want to support small businesses everywhere, especially in your own community, then Alliant is really the association that is right for you. There are some national associations, that do wonderful work on a national level for small businesses in America. In fact they sometimes even dive into issues that are State specific, but it is rare for that to happen, unless they State issue is in several States or it has received national media attention or perhaps is about to receive both of those things. But in our research and experience, we discovered that there wasn’t any that were focused on the local community or anything less than the national agenda.
We saw a problem with that. The main problem being that many small businesses do not compete or do much of anything on a national level and many don’t do anything beyond the borders of their own hometown. Most are small, what we all know as, “ma and pop” type stores.
This is why Alliant has been set up to focus on the local community first, starting at the city level. Followed by the county, and State levels, and of course on a national level as well. The idea behind Alliant is placed in 6 core areas, that outline the reason that Alliant exists and why we need your help, but just as importantly, how Alliant can help you.
- Advocacy: Not just advocating, but true activism, where we do more than just advocating, but actually engage in making a difference.
- Consumer Education: Helping the public to learn more about and understand what it means to be a small business owner. Alliant has a goal of helping putting a face on small business. Who are these people? Why do they start businesses? Why is that good for the average consumer? These among many, many other questions, are the types of questions that Alliant will answer, in order to help consumers become better educated.
- Benefits: This has several meanings behind it. The first of which is the most obvious; regarding benefiting our membership. Alliant aims to find and provide the best benefits to our members and the more members we have the better those benefits will be. That leads to the second aspect of benefits, which is helping businesses provide better and less expensive benefits to their own employees. One way of doing that is by signing them up as members of Alliant and another way will be when will be through launching the consumer benefit packages that will be coming soon. Both of these lead to the next reason Alliant exists.
- Collaboration: Providing group buying power for small businesses, in a way that an individual or even a small group of small businesses could never hope to achieve. Collaboration comes in many forms and the extended buying power is just one of them. Collaboration also works in Advocacy, because the bigger the voice, the more impact it has. As small businesses, we need to come together and think and work as one, if we hope to improve or fix any of the problems that we now face.
- Marketing Training: In our research, we found that a large number of small businesses have no real formal business training of any kind. Many are driven by a simple passion or a new idea or invention, and many small businesses, especially due to size, money, and other reasons, have to do more for themselves than a larger business. For this reason, there are a lot of tasks that a small business want to do on their own. Or maybe they just want to learn about why, so they can hire the right person. When you don’t know the right questions to ask about something, it is a scary thing to go and put your baby, your small business, into someone’s hands to do something that maybe you have never heard about before. As Alliant grows, we will be doing workshops and training programs in your neighborhood, to help educate small business owners, contractors, and those that want to become self-employed, on marketing, the #1 way to succeed in any business.
- Integrated Marketing: Strategic Marketing and planning is the key to success in any business. Without knowing how to integrate all aspects of a business, in ways that are cost effective, businesses quickly or in some cases, slowly die and wither away. All businesses have different goals, different purposes for being in business and these can be long or short term. But we have all heard the old adage, that those who fail to plan, plan to fail and in marketing, as in business, that could not be any more true. Alliant has coaching to help you through your troubled times. This goes beyond the Marketing Training, to actually assisting in the integration process. Alliant will help you integrate your marketing in a way that makes sense and then we have teamed up with small companies and individuals, all across the country to provide you the best in class for services.
